In March 2025, the Greater Hobart Committee approved its second shared Work Program for Greater Hobart, which is a key legislative deliverable under the Greater Hobart Act 2019.
The agreed priority actions for the Work Program 2025-28 are to:
- implement the 30-Year Greater Hobart Plan
- increase the supply of medium-density infill housing
- collaborate on major transport initiatives
- develop regional plans for sporting and cultural facilities
- facilitate economic development.
